Safety System Software

Overview

Safety System Software (S3) is a human-machine interface (HMI) software package that allows data to be acquired from the Eagle Quantum Premier® (EQP) safety system controller for event and alarm tracking, display on custom graphics and to be shared with other systems. Also, the S3 allows system operators to configure all connected device operating parameters through its intuitive graphical interface. This graphic operating environment greatly simplifies the creation of logic for gas and fire detection, fire suppression and annunciation.

When your requirements demand full communications among other existing facility systems, S3 is available with an Object Linking and Embedding for Process Control (OPC) server. This software layer enables communication of safety-system data from devices connected to the EQP system to distributed control systems and other OPC-compliant systems.

For all system-compatible field devices, S3 provides unique Point Displays, which are graphical screens that organize and display information in an easy-to-read format. In addition to displaying real-time sensor status of all the addressable devices, a one-minute running trend is superimposed over the alarm set points. On applicable devices, calibration history is also available to maintain records.

It's all about the data

A key feature of a S3-powered EQP safety system is the amount of data that is available to system operators. In many systems, all operators can obtain from the control systems are fault and alarm logs. S3 and the EQP safety system provide a wealth of information that details things like device health, ability to perform, more detailed status and fault reports, calibration settings and much more.

When your people, processes and property rely on a fire and gas safety system for maximum protection, the more information your safety system can provide in real time, the better equipped you and your system operators to take proactive steps to avoid costly shutdowns and operational interruptions that are not warranted.
