General Questions

Det-Tronics supports the general objectives of the REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) which seek to improve human and environmental protection. 

Under this Regulation, the products we sell are “articles”, without intended release of a chemical substance. Learn more about our safe use products here.

Det-Tronics regularly responds to RFQs. The process for getting a response is the same whether you are looking for a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Information (RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). Please send your document to your authorized local sales representative. We will review your request and prepare a comprehensive response.

Det-Tronics accepts purchase orders (POs) via email and postal delivery. Please go here for all the details.

Each order is dependent upon its complexity. We may need to configure products to meet your application’s requirements or comply with export regulations, both of which take time.

Upon receipt of an order, typically via email, Det-Tronics will send an email confirming receipt. If you submit your order by either mail or fax, Det-Tronics will acknowledge receipt via the method you specify.

Det-Tronics invoices contain all the information necessary to submit payment. If you are experiencing difficulty, you may contact your authorized local sales representative or Det-Tronics Customer Service for assistance.

You will receive shipment details including tracking information once we ship your order. Until it is ready to ship, we are unable to provide you with tracking information. Please click here for further information on our Order Entry and Tracking process.

The typical order acknowledgment process involves communicating status to you at these points:

  1. Upon receipt – we notify you that we have received your order.
  2. Upon entry into our order fulfillment system – we confirm products and quantities.
  3. After scheduling for fulfillment – we provide pricing and estimated delivery date.
  4. Upon shipment – we provide the necessary shipment tracking details.

Product Upgrades

Over time, products become obsolete when:

  • Parts are no longer available to build or repair them.
  • New technology offers a better solution.
  • They are at the end of their useful life for any number of reasons.

Repair Services

RMA requests are reviewed by Technical Support within 24 hours of submission and that expected lead time is 4 weeks upon receipt at the factory.

Det-Tronics will issue you a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number if it is necessary. This page explains the Det-Tronics RMA process.

Note: Please do not return any material without an RMA number visible on the packaging. Det-Tronics refuses these unexpected shipments. 

Warranty claims start with the Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process. The Repair and Warranty Service process is explained in more detail here.

Warranty terms differ by product, but a multi-year (3-5) warranty on the entire detector and up to a ten (10) year warranty on infrared (IR) source lamps is common.

Training

The Det-Tronics University curriculum offers range and flexibility. Attendees may opt for specific training on fire and gas safety systems and Det-Tronics Eagle Quantum Premier® (EQP), or they may customize their curriculum to address specific skills development and workplace needs.
