The Det-Tronics certified SIL 2 capable EQP fire and gas safety system is used to protect high-value and high-hazard facilities around the world.
The Eagle Quantum Premier® (EQP) Fire and Gas Safety System is approved to FM 3010 in accordance with NFPA 72®: National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, 2013 Edition. The EQP is also certified SIL 2 capable and qualified for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
An effective fire and gas safety system is an integrated set of inputs and outputs that meets life safety requirements and can be used for process monitoring. The EQP fire and gas safety system fulfills this definition and is listed and certified for both fire & gas control and release.

Robust and reliable, the certified SIL 2 capable EQP safety system uses a distributed topology suitable for applications that require a hazardous location rated protection system. How harsh? The EQP safety system is certified to be installed in Class I, Div 2/Zone 2 hazardous locations.
The EQP provides the following for hazardous and non-hazardous locations:
- Flame and gas detection
- Alarm signaling
- Fault notification
- Extinguishing agent release control
- Flexibility to connect to both Det-Tronics and third-party devices
- Supports flame, gas, smoke and heat detectors in a certified system configuration

- Easily integrated with PCS, DCS, SCADA and PLCs via multiple communication protocols
- Available in a pre-engineered listed system with enclosures rated for ordinary and hazardous locations

The Eagle Quantum Premier® (EQP) fire and gas safety system is a certified SIL-2 capable, distributed safety system that provides flame and gas detection, alarm signaling, fault notification and extinguishing agent release control for hazardous and non-hazardous locations.
The EQP supports Det-Tronics flame and gas detectors and annunciation devices along with third-party devices. Also, the EQP controller provides multiple protocols for communication with ancillary systems, including emergency shutdown (ESD) and process control (PCS).
The EQP system provides fault tolerance utilizing redundant controllers and the ModBus master/slave protocol. A variety of configurations are available to meet your application-specific requirements.
