*ABOUT BRIAN:

Brian Benham has been involved with automation and safety for most of his career. The last nine years he has been involved directly with safety critical applications such as emergency shutdown and fire & gas solutions for the oil and gas and utility industries. In addition, Brian has been involved with Turbine Control and protection solutions based on the Invensys Triconex TUV SIL 3 PLC platform. 

At Detector Electronics Brian has brought his experience in solutions and safety critical applications to enhance the focus on the critical requirements of the latest IEC standards. For example, one area is the manner in which SIL (within the Fire and Gas arena) enhances the end user safety case. 

Currently, Brian is responsible for Detector Electronics throughout the European, African, and Middle East theatres of operations from a sales perspective.
